The 3rd series of 'Chokin Metal Art', a new art craft created by fusing traditional Japanese crafts: 'Chokin' (repoussé) and 'Shippou-yaki' (cloisonné), in the motif of 'Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam', has been announced. It will go on sale in late August 2021.
'Chokin Metal Art' is a new type of craftwork that combines the characteristics of two traditional crafts: 'Chokin', which used to be used to decorate armor helmets and Japanese swords, and the art craft 'Shippou-yaki', using modern technology.
The material used for the item is high-purity aluminum with a purity of over 99%, which is also used in high-class Japanese cars, and the entire process from the materials to manufacturing is done in Japan.
The latest technology made it possible to express pottery-like colors that cannot be expressed by conventional printing, such as the 'Shippou-yaki' style coloring, and the rough surface has been recreated by skillful craftsmanship.
The newly announced items are all from 'Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam': 'Chokin Metal Aret Sticker', 'Chokin Metal Art Magnet', and 'Chokin Metal Art Plate & Badge Clip'.
The items come in six designs: 'Kamille & Zeta Gundam', 'Quattro & Hyakushiki', 'Emma & Gundam Mk-II', 'Scirocco & The O', 'Haman & Qubeley', and 'Four & Psyco Gundam'.
'Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam' Chokin Metal Art Sticker' is priced at 1,100 JPY each (tax included), 'Chokin Metal Art Magnet' at 1,320 JPY each (tax included), and 'Chokin Metal Art Plate & Badge Clip' at 1,650 JPY each (tax included). The items will go on sale in late August 2021.

Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam - Wikipedia
The Blu-ray restore of Zeta Gundam is nothing short of fantastic and absolutely appropriate for what might be the best Gundam series. There is however one big letdown though. Not using the original opening and ending theme music was a misstep IMO. MSG is by far my favorite anime, not just my favorite Gundam series, and Zeta is a close second. The OVAs on the other hand are enjoyable, but no where near as memorable. I'd never recommend them to people that weren't already versed in the franchise first.
